More photos of our great weekend at Port Victoria:

Peita, Lorraine and Margaret were the keen fisherwomen - squid the speciality!
Along the coast back towards the Pt Victoria jetty
Sunset over the gulf!
We try to keep fit!
..then we can enjoy Happy Hour!!
Learning about Harold, killed at the Somme, from Margaret on Sunday morning.

During our exchange with the Lubeck club we will join with them in their 25th birthday celebrations - a dinner on the Passat. In order to discover more about the Passat, and the links which it forged between South Australia and Lubeck, the 25 ambassadors decided to visit Port Victoria for the weekend 6-7 April.  We all stayed in the local caravan park (in cabins or our own vans) and on the Saturday afternoon we visited the maritime museum to learn of these links.  The Passat was the last of the wind jammers to travel between Port Victoria and Europe after World War II.

The women enjoyed a rest and a laugh while waiting for the museum to open.
The men were ready to learn!

Magnificent weather, with brilliant sunsets, was experienced as we relaxed, socialising and fishing!

Drinks at Happy Hour!

Anyone for cards?!

Sunday morning was more serious business - our last formal meeting before our departure for Europe!  Discussion on several aspects of our journey, handing out of information and then rehearsal time!   We were certainly a very happy group at the conclusion of our enjoyable weekend.
